Ch-ch-changes

January 15, 2013

As you might have noticed, the blog format has been updated to reflect the changing times—or more specifically to soothe my control-freak-obsessive-compulsive tendencies better.  I do like things done a specific way (yes, I realize I should see a shrink about this but I simply cannot afford one!) and the old format really wasn’t cutting it so THIS happened!130115_Changes

The blog now has more colour—well, one (red) because black, grey and white aren’t really colours are they? It’s also more user-friendly with all the links and share buttons so don’t hesitate to use them.  Seriously, use them. Doooo it.

Do give yourself a tour, grab a (virtual) beer from the (imaginary) fridge and make yourself at home! Rest assured the content still remains as the old useless blurby travel nonsense that is quite reflective of my life—but with better packaging. We are still in the midst of working out a few bugs (argh!) hence posting has been a bit scarce lately. I’m sorry!

Let me know if you’ve encountered any bugs (virtual or otherwise), what you think of the site and how your day went. I totally care.

Lastly, wishing everyone a belated Happy New Year and an adventure & love filled 2013!

P.S. This photo of me walking from a toilet in the middle of the desert is by my good friend Aeus.

I love the photo! A very travel-appropriate shot. It started me thinking about moody, emptyish music to go along with it.

I like the looks of the “new you” better than the other one that was just too plain. I also need to fix my site for it somehow became a mess. Happy travels to you. Nice photo of you coming from the “outhouse.”

Thanks! I’ve been stressing over the new layout during the holidays. Blogging is apparently a tedious hobby right? Haha!

Yes, you are right about blogging becoming tedious. We want the blog to look good and then we don’t have a real clue of how many themes we will not to look at before finding the right one.

Currently mine is in a bit of a mess and I have yet to figure out how to fix, so I suppose a web “guru” is in order to set it right. But I really think this new set of yours is a huge imorovement.

When you say that blogging is a hobby I have received mail from some individuals that say their blog is like a full time job now. But these people have lots of ads and a a multitude of visitors. We should all be so lucky. :-)

Well depends on what you want to achieve with your blog. Personally, I just really want a creative outlet outside of my office job. I’ve always enjoyed writing and photography and this was a way to develop both passions on my owns terms. The fact that I get to talk to like-minded people from all over the world is a huge bonus and great motivation. It’s a tedious thing to do, but the best things in life almost always are.

Yeah was trying to work out all the layout issues before posting– that took longer than expected. Hehe! Wishing you a great year ahead!
